Nissan Motor India is set to expand its product range with the introduction of a new 5-seater C-SUV and a 7-seater B-MPV. The reveal took place at the company’s recent Global Product Showcase Event in Yokohama, Japan, where both vehicles were introduced as part of Nissan's strategy for the Indian market.
The product rollout begins with the global debut of the 7-seater B-MPV, which is slated for launch in FY25. This will be followed by the 5-seater C-SUV, expected in early FY26. Two new teasers have been shared, confirming the development and timelines for both models. Nissan aims to introduce four new products by FY26, covering the B/C and D-SUV segments.
The upcoming C-SUV is designed to make a significant impact in India’s competitive market. It incorporates technology and design elements inspired by the iconic Nissan Patrol, promising reliability, premium craftsmanship, and advanced features that embody Nissan’s global reputation. This model will compete with popular vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, and Suzuki Grand Vitara.
On the other hand, the new 7-seater MPV targets value-conscious customers, offering exceptional comfort, quality, and value. It features a muscular design consistent with Nissan’s signature philosophy, ensuring comfort for passengers in all rows while maintaining an enjoyable driving experience.
Nissan has set an ambitious goal of achieving 100,000 units in annual sales and exports from India. To support this, both new models will be locally produced at the Alliance JV plant in Chennai, ensuring they meet global standards for both domestic and international markets.
Building on the success of the Nissan Magnite, the new C-SUV will also be manufactured in India and exported globally, following Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy.
